IT SA in Nuremberg is the largest trade fair event in Europe dedicated to IT security and one of the most important events of this type in the world. The subject of the conference and the scope of the presented solutions concerns the security of cloud computing, end devices, the Internet of Things, databases, and network security. The exhibition is a unique platform for C level experts and IT security specialists, from industry, services and administration to programmers and IT security service providers. During IT SA, premiere solutions of leading cybersecurity producers are shown.
In addition to the conference, @ it-sa started the day before, which represents the open technology and management forum as well as the international forum as further platforms for global industry dialogue. Here, in numerous lectures and presentations, from October 8 to October 10, knowledge of current issues was provided together with strategy and technical solutions leading to greater IT security.
In 2018, 698 exhibitors from 27 countries presented their latest security solutions in 3 halls. Thanks to 14,290 visitors to the fair, it has been proved once again that it is an indispensable event for the IT security industry. This year’s eleventh edition of the fair gathered 750 exhibitors from 25 countries, located in 4 halls, who presented the latest IT security solutions. The fair was visited by 15,632 guests from several dozen countries around the world.
The world’s leading giants were exhibiting such as Cisco, Sophos, ESET, Kaspersky, Acronis and many others, quite a lot of distributors (mainly VAD) and resellers, along with service and consulting companies (e.g. implementing ISO 2700x and RODO, conducting penetration tests).
There were also Polish companies among the exhibitors: Axence, Cypherdog, Fudo Security and Rublon. According to the editors, this is a fairly modest representation at this type of fair, because quite a lot of cybersecurity solutions have been created in Poland, and the development of sales in DACH countries is probably quite obvious for Polish companies due to the geographical distance and market capacity. It is obvious that, for example, to appear on the German market, it is best to sell your solutions either through local German-speaking representatives or partners. German customers are not familar with solutions from CEE countries, but the path through IT SA is obvious. According to many trade fair visitors and exhibitors, those who do not exist on IT SA will not appear on the German market.
For us it was another fair event this year. Cypherdog is a tool for secure file exchange, encrypted desktop and mobile messenger, cloud storage, and encryption of local resources.
Our goal at the fair was to make contact with distributors operating on the DACH markets and to present our solution to potential resellers, so our activities took place not only at the stand but we also actively sought partners selling solutions in the field of cyber security – said Przemysław Kucharzewski, our Vice President. I recommend all exhibitors to make a decision early enough about exhibiting at the fair in order to choose the best stand location, opt for the stand development carried out by an external company, which expands the presentation possibilities of the company and reduces costs. It is also worth arranging meetings before the trade fair, using the application or trade fair portal, because some exhibitors are really busy and it is hard in many cases to even exchange business cards.
